    14 September 2010 Commencement of the Equality Act is set for October 1st 2010, though some aspects will not come into effect until 2011. This replaces 9 Acts and almost 100 sets of regulations and will attempt to reduce bureaucracy.

  • A030 - Adoption leave guidance
    24 January 2012 The Employment Act 2002 introduced new statutory rights to leave and pay for adoptive parents subject to meeting the criteria. The statutory scheme does not extend to stepchildren adoptions or foster care adoptions. (The school may wish to extend the Occupational Maternity Pay Scheme to the Adoption scheme.)
