NAHT has published new guidance today to help schools become places where all staff can thrive and feel confident to be authentic about who they are.
The new guidance, which is the first of its kind in the UK, is endorsed by leading campaign group Stonewall. It covers key issues - such as harassment, discrimination, bullying and lack of visibility - and it underlines the role and responsibilities of school leaders.
A separate annex to these guidance documents, 'LGBT staff and the law', is also available. It highlights those aspects of the legislation that school leaders must be aware of to comply with statutory provisions and, in equal measure, promote good employment practice.
