The Department for Education has issued updated guidance for schools on preventing and responding to bullying.
Previous guidance from 'Supporting children and young people who are bullied: advice for schools' has been merged with 'Preventing and Tackling Bullying'. This updated version of 'Preventing and Tackling Bullying' now includes additional information about how schools can support children and young people who are bullied. This guidance is for school leaders, school staff and governing bodies.
There are two additional guidance documents:
- Cyberbullying: advice for head teachers and school staff – contains guidance on how schools can prevent and respond to cyber bullying aimed at head teachers and staff
- Advice for parents and carers on cyberbullying – contains guidance on how parents and carers can prevent and respond to cyber bullying aimed at children and young people
