The DfE's recent consultation closing on 22 March set out their proposals for a new national funding formula, and a new approach for allocating high needs funding directly to schools. NAHT are currently drafting our response to both of these and will share our draft with members early in March.
The consultation documents include a spreadsheet that allows you to enter your school name and location and obtain an illustration of what you school's funding would look like in 2018/19 based on your current pupil numbers and characteristics, and how this compares to what you get currently. You can find this here.
Whether you're an overall gainer or loser depends both on the factors in the proposed new formula, and how your local authority's formula has worked until now so there's no consistency nationally as local authority formulas were so different.
You can also find a table showing the illustrative high needs funding for each local authority and how much each local authority is gaining.
