Childrens Centre Leaders
Welcome to the NAHT Leaders of Children’s Centres and Extended Services homepage. NAHT can support you in your role through:
Expert advice and information on health and safety, staffing, pay, budgeting, coping with local authorities and guidance in matters relating to the relationship between the headteacher/principal and the governing body;
Expert advice on pay and conditions and support at local level if required due to recognition of the lack of standardisation between children’s centres and extended schools due to different settings;
NAHT influences pay and conditions on a national basis through our membership of the Social Partnership;
Review and analysis of the Section 52 budget statement returns made by every local authority in England to compare local funding from one authority to another which helps us to answer queries from members and also put questions to the government;
Extended Services Task Group –
set up within NAHT to
deal with
issues relating to providing extended services within the community;
Member of Eastern Leadership Centre (ELC) Steering Group for the provision of NPQICL and working with NCSL ;
Wide selection of CPD courses to help and guide you on a day to day basis;
Specialist publications including “0-5 Agenda and the Leadership of Children’s Centres”.
