Traditionally, each broker of Staff Absence Insurance has had their own exclusive arrangements with particular insurance companies. Normally, the broker will have represented a single source.
So to conduct a ‘Best Value’ exercise, as encouraged by the DfE, it has been usual for our members to have contacted three brokers to obtain three independent quotes.
That alone has meant precious time and effort taken away from more education-centric priorities. But then there’s been the additional burden of having to compare and contrast those quotes, no two ever being laid out the same way or having identical cover (when the full detail has been read and understood).
Consultants at TEB have access to 3 separate policies from 3 completely independent insurers. And they push no particular one of the three.
They explain to you the differences in cover provided in each.
The cheapest quote needn’t represent the best value and staff at TEB will help you to cut through the detail of policy wordings so that you can arrive at a more fully informed decision in less time.
They do not recommend a specific policy but provide you all of the information so you can make an informed choice that is most suitable to your school.
You pay nothing for this service but you will of course need to pay the insurance premium if you choose to buy one of the three policies.
Face-to-face visits are available for schools if preferable to a phone call.
Presentations and seminars are also available for groups of schools.
