We are delighted that the government has listened to the views of NAHT and other stakeholders and allowed common sense to win the day. Deferring implementation until 2011 gives local authorities time to assess the potential impact in their area and prepare for change. Indications Are Correct

NAHT CYMRU

NAHT Cymru members have expressed their fear that the Foundation Phase in Wales will be undeliverable in September 2008. Members are only now receiving indications from LEAs about their likely funding levels for the autumn term.

The figures quoted to members include:

One authority estimates it will only be able to fund up to 40% of the required level.

Another authority has warned school leaders that there is no possibility that the 1:8 adult:pupil ratio can be funded.

<pubDateSort>20080425034501</pubDateSort><pageFirstCreationDate>Wed, 12 Mar 2008 12:57:00 GMT</pageFirstCreationDate><pageFirstCreationDateSort>20080312125700</pageFirstCreationDateSort><pageLastModified>Fri, 25 Apr 2008 15:45:01 GMT</pageLastModified><pageLastModifiedSort>20080425034501</pageLastModifiedSort>

NAHT Welcomes Announcement on School Balances

It is reassuring that the Government has shown its willingness to listen to representations from the education community on the issue of school balances.

<pubDateSort>20080408114800</pubDateSort><pageFirstCreationDate>Wed, 06 Feb 2008 14:52:54 GMT</pageFirstCreationDate><pageFirstCreationDateSort>20080206025254</pageFirstCreationDateSort><pageLastModified>Tue, 08 Apr 2008 11:48:00 GMT</pageLastModified><pageLastModifiedSort>20080408114800</pageLastModifiedSort>

IRU Position Statement for FMSIS

The Implementation Review Unit (IRU) is an independent panel of school practitioners appointed in 2003 by the then Secretary of State for Education and Skills.

<pubDateSort>20080508093642</pubDateSort><pageFirstCreationDate>Wed, 06 Feb 2008 14:36:43 GMT</pageFirstCreationDate><pageFirstCreationDateSort>20080206023643</pageFirstCreationDateSort><pageLastModified>Thu, 08 May 2008 21:36:41 GMT</pageLastModified><pageLastModifiedSort>20080508093641</pageLastModifiedSort>

16-18 Demand Led Funding System

Paper on 16-18 Demand Led Funding System

<pubDateSort>20080508093722</pubDateSort><pageFirstCreationDate>Mon, 04 Feb 2008 11:42:22 GMT</pageFirstCreationDate><pageFirstCreationDateSort>20080204114222</pageFirstCreationDateSort><pageLastModified>Thu, 08 May 2008 21:37:22 GMT</pageLastModified><pageLastModifiedSort>20080508093722</pageLastModifiedSort>

NAHT Analysis of Funding Settlement 2008-2011

Analysis by NAHT consultant George Phipson

<pubDateSort>20080508093703</pubDateSort><pageFirstCreationDate>Wed, 30 Jan 2008 15:54:24 GMT</pageFirstCreationDate><pageFirstCreationDateSort>20080130035424</pageFirstCreationDateSort><pageLastModified>Thu, 08 May 2008 21:37:03 GMT</pageLastModified><pageLastModifiedSort>20080508093703</pageLastModifiedSort>
