Teachers’ Pension Scheme (England & Wales) - members' contribution bands 2018/2019

pension pot.jpg

Your teachers’ pension salary bands, against which your pension contribution is calculated, will change from 1st April 2018 to reflect the rate of inflation (CPI) from the previous year, a rate that’s agreed in September 2017.  Pension contribution rates do not change.

This advice note sets out the changes to the salary bands with effect from 1st April 2018.  For most of our members, there will be no change whatsoever.  However, some of our members may find that they fall into a lower salary band, reducing the amount of pension contributions they pay.  Please take a few minutes to read this note to determine whether any of the changes apply to you.
